I’m over the moon for this beauty, I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting and finally, I got a chance to snag her. I’ve got the Black Angel Cards with me, and here’s an interview with the deck.
1.Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
THE MEDICINE WOMAN – She brings the medicine with her! Hot, steaming, and laced in every image and word. Wisdom comes forth from interacting with this deck, borne of nature and experience.
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
THE READER – Taps into intuition from the jump. The best way to approach this deck will be to rely on my intuition, not necessarily everything I read in it the book it came with, though that won’t be lacking in wisdom.
3. What are your limits as a deck?
THE HEALER – Immediately what came to me was that I can’t keep coming to this deck for absolutely everything. It feels like a warning on over reliance. Ultimately, my healing is mine to control. It’s up to me to take the medicine and follow my intuition as necessary.
4. What are you here to teach me?
THE QUILT MAKER – This card is about connection, about weaving different skills in this case into a cohesive and distinct piece. It will push me to weave all my different modes of knowing and healing in order to move forward in fulfillment. I also think of quilts as gifts that are passed down, especially from grandparents, so there’s an element of ancestral knowledge here as well. Lovely 🙂
5. How can I best learn and collaborate with you?
THE BRAIDER – Echoing the previous card. Tangibly using the connections forged to create. Braiding is also an incredibly intimate and at times lengthy experience. The internal work will be deep, connective, and continuous. Results will be beautiful though.
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
THE SOJOURNER – Courage and confidence to speak my truth and healing. A connection of all sides of myself.
I love everything about this deck. It’s not one for every question, but it is one that will push me when I do inquire of it, but it is a message of ancestry and love. I adore it, I’m so excited to move forward with it!
