post debate magic because we need all the help. all of it. #politicalwitchesunite

Did you catch the debate tonight? Yeah. I know. Here’s some quick help with that all around gross feeling.

first, breaking baths & rituals. some of your herbal allies are sage, hyssop, cleaver, mugwort, & rosemary. smoke, wash, sprinkle, do whatever you need to clear yourself before you sleep. you absolutely do not need to take it with you.

afterward bring the sweetness back in. sip, breathe in or apply something sweet and calming like lavender, jasmine, calendula, or rose before bed tonight.

and listen to any instinct that tells you to ring sea salt around your bed.

Love Spell In A Tea Cup, Two Waters Tea

As I built my Two Waters love altar to Yemaya and Oshun, I was called to mix up a tea blend and meditate with it as I sat before the completed creation. Without a doubt, my favorite part of a long healing ritual is when the mix for tea settles into my spirit and I get to work the magic. Every time after it feels like the magic is giving me a tangible way to keep the energy with me and recreate it for whenever else I might need it, and maybe not have enough time or space to recreate the ritual.

Two Waters Tea Blend: Sunflower, Cinnamon, Rose, Jasmine, Mint, Fennel, and Clove are mixed to manifest a love spell of flower and seed magic to guide you to hold yourself as precious and treasured by ancestors and guides.

I share the magic with you freely and hope that it gives you more than a moment to intentionally nourish the love for self.

My Monday After-Work Promise

What’s your Monday After-Work promise to yourself?

We all know the old Monday morning song, feeling like three two-ton bags of ‘here we go again’. Or perhaps, you’re one of those folks who meet your Mondays with not just a smile but a wide grin, rearing to take on your week. Or maybe, your Mondays aren’t even Mondays and your week begins on Tuesday or even Saturday.

Whatever it may be, I’ve learned that there needs to be a transition. Something to bridge your mind, body, and spirit from being at rest to diving into activity. A moment in time you gift to yourself after the first day back at the grind. Continue reading

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade Cup Spells!

Lemons are often used for their cutting and clear qualities. In woo and outside of woo, they are mama nature’s answer to clean and fresh. Part of the fun of making lemonade is the wonderful scent that permeates the room as you work, seeming to lift the energy of your space the longer you squeeze. I like to breathe deeply in these moments, allowing myself to clear as well. It becomes easy to understand why they are ancient moon magic used to cleanse, protect, and invigorate.

As I worked through the lemons, my eyes were continuously drawn to the drained lemon halves. Even after I finished, I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. There was more work to be done.

So! Do as Muva Yonce said and go make lemonade, then follow along as called to with these simple kitchen spells.

Seeker of Cups Meditative Tarot Tea

seeking the water, happy spring equinox!

I don’t know about you, but the energy of this year has been fierce and unrelenting. Every time I think I’m catching my breath, I’m already falling off the next cliff. Not that it’s been all bad, necessarily- a lot of what is whirling me around is opportunities for growth. I’m just working on accepting it for the blessings they are, and taking all of it in as affirmation.

What I’m doing for the equinox, simple and practical:

1. Drinking tea! Of course. In fact, this tea blend will feature quite a bit in my equinox activities. Here’s a beautiful blend to welcome Spring, inspired by the Page of Cups:

Seeker of Cups Tea Blend
🌸 Heather
🌸 Jasmine
🌸 Chamomile
🌸 Lemon Balm
Add milk, if you like, a symbol of fertility- especially since I can safely assume you won’t be adding eggs!

2. Having a healing bath. I’ll be using the same herbs I made my Seeker of Cups tea with in my bath.

3. Bringing fresh flowers into my space.

4. Simmer pot! All the herbs in my tea with some lemon slices to add a kick of fresh.

5. Clearing my sacred spaces, tools, and altars.

6. Cleaning my space in general, a minor spring cleaning to let in the new and move the energy of the old out. A floor wash made of the tea assisting with the energy work.

What are you up to this week to celebrate Ostara/Equinox/Easter/Rebirth?
